President-elect nominee, Kerry Callahan, led the Club Assembly: "The Magic of Rotary." The Strategic Planning Committee, for the Bob Dart Gift, is studying the options for how to best meet the wishes of Mr. Dart and how this club can serve the community with his gift. The Strategic Planning Committee devoted the Club Assembly March 7th to asking members to share their thoughts of what they would like to see the club consider for the legacy gift. Kerry explained that members would consider 5 areas of potential considerations: Youth, Seniors, Public Safety, Economic Development and "Other", a catchall for anything that did not fall in the other 4 categories. This was done in a well-organized system with members in small groups, with 5 leaders who rotated so that every member had the opportunity to provide input in the 5 categories. Today's Club Assembly was spent prioritizing the 5 areas of consideration. Greg reminded members that the Strategic Committee is going into the community to assess what the community at large would like to see from this legacy that Lincoln Rotary is entrusted with. Once this research has been concluded the committee will bring the results to the membership for the final decisions.
