Committee Announcements
Claire discussed the social and said that she needs members to let her know who will be attending. Greg reminded members that he has a sign up for volunteers online to help the Kiwanis Club with their See's Candy Fundraiser to support our troops. The Kiwanis has been very generous with their time and assistance in the past with the Tour de Lincoln. Now they are asking that we return the favor.

I was born in San Francisco. I married at 20 to a CHP officer. We had three children and then I went back to college. I was a teacher and director of a preschool in Santa Cruz. We were transferred to Truckee in 1982.

I helped open Northstars childcare center in 1982 but left in 1984 to open my own preschool in Truckee, which I had for 30 years.

During that time, I also began an after-school program with the Truckee Donner Recreation Department.

I did summer field trips for the Truckee Donner Historical Society and for 10 years did Saturday Storytimes at the Truckee Library.

After closing my preschool, I did 30 Storytimes weekly in three elementary school three days a week.
