FINAL Reminder of the Survey
President Kerry's member survey is a HUGE step forward in getting member input and organizing committees.  It was sent to members on June 24th.  Please make sure you have done the survey! It's important.
 Meeting Welcome

President Kerry opened the meeting, as a diva straight from 1929, singing a modified Rotary version of "Am I Blue" to a standing ovation.  An outstanding reminder of the Club's upcoming 100th Celebration!! She welcomed to the meeting 37 members and 4 guests: Guest Speakers: Mikaela Zimmerman and Emily Barney, Janet Osterhout (Clark), and Ava Graves (Josh & Lindsey). The Flag Salute was led by Criste Freymond and the 4 Way Test was led by Frank V.

Events and Committee Announcements

Lindsey reported for Community Service and Fundraising, that she would like sign-ups for members interested in joining the committee. She also reported the PR this year will be very active with getting the Club Brand out to the community. Alicia is focusing on programs and Art will be working with the Website and Social medias. Bill Alston has offered to take photo for individual members needing his expertise. (Maybe your Club Photo needs updating?) Kerry discussed the Membership Teams briefly and reported that the RI Foundation club donation goal for the year is $10,000. Additionally, she has asked every member to donate $100.00 to celebrate the Club 100th Anniversary and to reach the goal of 100% of the membership as Sustaining Members. Meeting the Goal of $100.00 from each member also meets the goal of Every Rotarian Every Year. Judy Ratley asked for sign ups of members interested in the World Community Service committee.

Guest Speaker
Guest speakers from the Hub, Mikaela and Emily Barney talked about the need of homeless and low-income families, in the community of Lincoln, saying the need is more extensive than the community is aware of. The Hub is located in the back part of the Lincoln Hill School parking lot. What is the Hub? From the published description: "The Hub Family Resource Center exists to strengthen families, empower students, and build a connected community. We provide equitable access to resources, services, and supports that foster stability, wellness, and educational success for every child and family in Western Placer Unified School District." They discussed the Basic needs that the Hub provides, including support for college, food and clothing, referrals to connect families with help, they offer parental counseling periodically, and focus particularly on the approximately 390 homeless students in Lincoln.

The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
