February 6th Meeting Recap!
- We celebrated four Students of the Month: November Guy Hamasaki and Jessica Mananquil and for December, Alexandria Castaneda and Josh Alarcon. All impressive young folks!
- Jan Hutchinson, Kris Wyatt and Stan Nader announced the Lincoln Community Foundation award to Rotary of $5,000 for the Rec-to-Go project. Rotary will add in $8500 to bring fun activities to areas of Lincoln that don't have access to our recreational programs.
- A reminder to sell Taste of Italy tickets. The Lincoln High School Elite Choir will both serve and perform for us!
- Our RYE student for next year was introduced, Haley Hall. She is extremely excited to be representing us.
- Our speaker was introduced by Rotarian Roxanne Snyder who volunteers at A Touch of Understanding which is a non-profit organization that teaches Elementary and Middle School students about what it is like to be disabled. They help create a Climate of Inclusion which is long-lasting and reduces bullying and isolation for the disabled. It was a very moving presentation by the Executive Director, Megan Adamski.
