Upcoming Speaker
Stacy Robinson is the Public Information Officer for the Placer County Clerk-Recorder-Elections Office. After a decade as a business owner, writer and developmental editor of novel-length manuscripts, she began the next chapter of her career, developing and executing strategic Communications and Public Relations programs for multiple non-profits, including those in the healthcare and hospitality industries. She joined the Clerk-Recorder-Elections Office in 2022 and is thrilled to be a part of the team dedicated to bringing free, fair and secure elections to the registered voters of Placer County. We look forward to hearing from Stacy.
 Meeting Welcome

President Greg opened the meeting with the thought for the day. The Flag salute was led by Karen and the 4-Way Test was led by Scott. Greg welcomed to the meeting 36 members of the club, and 6 guests: Guest Speaker Stacy Rae Thomas, Penny Pearl (Richard), Angela Jackson (Holly) and Tim Jackson, husband and Gonzalas Rotarian, Ana Lauritsen(Claire), and Dorothy Vranesic (Frank).

Alan presented a poem, humorous as always, "Conversations Can Be Confusing".
Induction and Welcome of New Member
Membership Chair Bryan Ludwig welcomed, and inducted into membership, Susan Cadwallader (sponsored by Scott Cadwallader). Bryan reviewed some expectations of Rotary, and reminded the new member that she is welcomed into a Worldwide Organization of 1.2 million members. Members of all Rotary Clubs are welcome at any Rotary meeting, anywhere in the World. The club members welcomed Susan with a standing ovation.
RCL 3-minute speeches

Richard Cochran met the 3-minute speech Red Badge requirement, with more history of the Cochran family (Alicia spoke last week). Gail Gentile followed with her 3 minute speech. Although Gail shared a comprehensive professional background, even more interesting is that she loves to bake goodies.  Again, Bill Alston has provided pictures of Rich's and Gail's presentations.

Events and Committee Announcements
Greg shared the Phoenix H.S. Graduation, and the Scholarship Awards from this club to 4 graduating students. Lindsey discussed the July 4th parade and said that 13 members volunteered as barricade monitors. Decorated Golf Carts are welcome.as well as decorated cars. More information will be provided as it gets closer to July. Jan thanked members that have signed up to provide 2025-2026 Guest Speakers. Richard covered the " Kick-Out" saying that it's an outside event at Kathrin's Biergarten in Rockin, starting at 5:30 PM, with a band and much fun planned for everyone. The cost is $50.00/per person. Darrell was very happy to report that the last Dart property has officially sold.
Guest Speaker
Guest Speaker Stacey Rae Thomas recently retired from her position as Professor of Business at William Jessup University. She has been the President of the Soroptimist Club of Lincoln for the past 2 years. Their Vision is to help females to achieve their dreams, believing that education leads to success and achieving their dreams. They support Phoenix H.S. (as well as many other non-profits and individuals) with scholarships and provide help to find access for issues that young women might be facing. They particularly advocate for those needing mental health support. More detailed information is available in the meeting photos and on the Soroptimist website.
The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
