Journey to Goathouse Brewing
Bike for books is off and running. More are scheduled over the next few weeks. Sheridan was Wednesday. Fosket Ranch is Friday. Kris and Karen will be notifying of specific dates. Take the opportunity to see the lucky student win a bike.
Saturday March 14th, we will be at the Girl's Softball opening at Foskett Ranch Regional Park. Need Rotarians to be there at 9am to take the field as we will be recognized for our support to this program. On the same day, we will have an information table at the Boy's Little League field for their opening day. Dan Johnson is organizing.
Remember that March 18th is the annual LHS Baseball team fundraiser, where all club members will have a fun fellowship event (and opportunity to win some great prizes).Claire will be organizing the event and arranging for tickets. There will be no meeting on the following day.
Claire announced that there will be no dessert auction for Taste of Italy. However, she recommended that all members provide a basket for the silent auction.
KrIs was the lucky raffle winner but she missed getting the Ace of Spades for the big prize. There are now only 4 cards left - 25% chance if your ticket is drawn for the daily prize.
Alan did not read a poem! But, he was very proud of the picture drawn by his grandson.

What an awesome tale of how she and her husband left the bay area to a) get out of the ratrace, b) to raise their children, and c) develop a brewery where where they could use their own farm products in the process. Today, they have hops, bees and goats on the property along with the kraft brewery that is open for visitors and purchase. Next step is cheese made from the mike of their small goat herd.
