Guest Speakers
Bruno and Adelie began the report on their experience at RYLA this past summer with the bus ride to Portola with other RYLA campers, and how they began making new friends along the way. They were assigned to cabin groups on arrival and found that they were in a beautiful location. Each day was filled with activities that helped them to understand team concepts and also gave them a new view of themselves. They learned that by talking about feelings they learned about themselves in ways not previously known and they felt more confident with this knowledge. They said that before the camp they were hesitant to be leaders but at the end of the camp they had changed and realized that everyone has limitations and how to accept them in themselves and in others. They particularly enjoyed assembling bicycles and giving them to children who were excited and grateful to receive them. On the bus ride home, they all shared contact information and hope to stay in touch with the friends they made at RYLA.
The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
