Greg encouraged members to support the Lions Club Bingo August 14, Richard discussed Wings and Wheels saying that there will be 80+ airplanes, 200+cars, Hot Air Balloons, and 10 - 20,000 attendees. Volunteers are needed and admission is free for those who sign up. Wild Bill talked about the Blood Drive, saying that donations have gone down since Covid. Previously, close to 50 donations were common, but more recently, the number of donations have averaged about 20. He mentioned incentives to donate include delicious cookies and brownies and even better lemon bars provided by the local Women's Cattlemen Assoc. Advance signup is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome!! Bryan covered the Tour de Lincoln saying that so far there are 25 riders signed up but that is not a concern because the majority for the riders sign up the last two weeks before the event. He said E Bikes are welcome. Sign up Genius will be active soon. Claire said the Women's Club is kicking off its campaign on 8/10 to fund the expansion of their facility. Community Service and World Community Service committee chair positions are still open and in need of volunteers. |
