Art presented an impressive introduction of our speaker, Natasha Butler, Director of The Foundry. She has a heartfelt passion for working with and for the development of youth. She has 20 + years of experience serving youth including inner city London tutoring and mentoring, anti-sex trafficking rehabilitation support, and tutoring children with dyslexia. Every day, students need a safe place to belong, grow, and lead. The Foundry provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and life- changing opportunities for youth across two sites in our community (Lincoln High School and Glen Edwards Middle School). Natasha invites volunteers to share time, and talents. She listed the many activities provided, such as: cooking, sewing, gardening, homework, life skills, and much more. The Foundry continues to need partnerships to continue to build a movement around meeting the needs of Lincoln teens.
