Induction and Welcome of New Members

Bryan reviewed some expectations of Rotary, such as the Four-Way Test, and informed Criste and Kristi that they are welcomed into a Worldwide Organization of 1.2 million members. Members of all Rotary Clubs are welcome at any Rotary meeting, anywhere in the World. The club than gave both new members a standing ovation.
Return to Active Membership Recognition
Membership Chair Bryan welcomed Art Deardorff 's return to Active membership after time as Honorary Status. Art brings back to the club 18 years of membership and a history of outstanding Service Above Self and outstanding dedication to the various Rotary Foundations. Additionally, Art has agreed to Chair the Foundation Service in 2025-2026. The club welcomed Art back with a standing ovation.
Red Badge to Blue Badge.
Membership Chair presented Jamie Wedell with his Blue Badge. The Red Badge is a series of activities that new members need to fulfill, such as serving as the Club Greeter, serving as Attendance recorder, attending a meeting at a different Rotary Club to name a few requirements, that are intended to help meet members and learn more about Rotary and this club in particular.
Events and Committee Announcements
Kris thanked the volunteers for selecting scholarships. She reminded the club that District 5180 has a Speech Contest and we need a club volunteer to Lead this program. Linda said that 10 volunteers are needed for the Salt Mine May 3rd. Paul mentioned that Judy Ratley is the WSC chair for 20205-2026. Bryan shared that Membership has almost reached 70 members with several new members to join soon. Keela spoke about the Taste of Mexico. Everyone needs to promote that new fundraiser that will benefit community projects.
George Dykstra & Gary Callahan Speakers
George Dykstra and Gary Callahan spoke briefly to ask Rotary members to support the Play Festival, of one act plays, written and directed by Lincoln High School students on May 15th.
Guest Speaker
Launi Cooper, Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional, gave an introduction to Reverse Mortgages(RMs). She covered the pros and cons of the RMs with much detail. She was delightful in her presentation and made a good case for her enthusiasm and commitment to RMs. Bill Alston has provided some slides with her presentation. She invited anyone interested in more information to contact her: lcooper@mutualmortgage.com.
The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
