Induction and Welcome of New Members
President Greg welcomed, and inducted into membership, Gail Gentile (sponsored by Donna Martin), and Frank Vranseic, a Rotarian previously in southern California, who visited our club before taking a 13 month tour of the world.  Greg reviewed some expectations of Rotary and reminded the new members that they are welcomed into a Worldwide Organization of 1.2 million members. Members of all Rotary Clubs are welcome at any Rotary meeting, anywhere in the World. The club members welcomed Gail and Frank with a standing ovation.

Lindsey said The Taste of Mexico needs members to sell tickets and reminded members that they are invited for complimentary drinks at 5:00 PM, as a thank you for the ticket sales. W. Bill promoted the Clay Day on 5/3.Truman also provided some history saying the "Camp Clay Day " has continued for 17years and that the kids take a pledge to have fun and to get dirty while doing so. Kris announced that Julie Westerling has agreed to Chair the Speech contest.
Guest Speaker
Kimberly introduced Mark Darnall with a short review of his history as a coach and his previous successes. Mark discussed his experiences before moving to the Head Coach position at William Jessup and some differences with being in a Christian University. One of the challenges for coaching is the recruitment of team members. He said that he has 4 criteria as he meets and assesses potential players : Character, Unselfishness ( being a team member vs star of the game), Toughness, and Energy.

The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
