Janice began her outstanding program referencing the 2023-2024 theme of "Create Hope in the World". She said that a lot of thought has gone into offering a Conference that includes the entire family. As her talk continued she illustrated the location, the Grand Sierra Resort, as offering opportunities for children as well as adults. The cost of the Conference itself has been kept to a minimum by having all the important events, breakout sessions and speakers on Saturday. (Some traditional events will still happen on Sunday.)
Three Districts have come together to plan the event May 17-19th, Host District 5190, 5180 and 5150 with the expectation of 700 members and guests attending. Participants will have an opportunity to hear the Keynote Speaker , RI President Gordon McInally, at the Gala dinner and other opportunities are available to meet with him. He is described as a very "down to earth" and friendly person. It is an honor to have President McInally attend this Triple District Conference.

Janice said that the conference celebrates Club Successes. And that FUN is the number one objective. There will be hospitality suites and breakout sessions specifically for the younger folk such as the RYLA, Interact and RYE students who attend.Friday is “Fundraising Friday”: a “Strike out Polio” Bowling Event and “Poker to End Polio” Tournament.
Are you getting excited to participate in the Conference?? Can we (the fabulous Lincoln Club) win the contest for the most attendees from a club???
We'll hear more about the Breakout Sessions a little later this year when Steve Snyder returns to bring us up to date with how the Triple Districts planning is evolving. Specifically, what the Breakout Sessions have to offer us.
