Kerry Callahan, Rotarian and Superintendent of the Western Placer Unified School District, was our speaker. Lots of guests and the nacho bar by our caterer and server Becky was to die for! President Lindsey Graves was primed after attending the Rotary District 26-27 training session in Arizona. Darrell Scott again presented the request from the World Community Service Committee to support the people in Nepal who were affected by the recent flooding. (See the special eBulletin issued earlier this week.)Kerry's presentation on the status of Lincoln schools was excellent. The growth of our city is a significant challenge for WPUSD in providing the facilities to educate our students. There will be requests for additional education bonds to support this growth in the near future. See some of her slides in the pictures below.Kerry (always a lover of music) serenaded us about her passion for all things Rotary (click link below):Sorry, this didn't work. Copyrighted music per You Tube. Ughhhh. And, there is now a secret word!!! Lindsey promised a bottle of wine as the prize for first to identify when asked at our meeting! Also see links to pictures for recent meetings/events:
