Fellow Rotarians and Friends,
On August 26th, 2026, a glacial collapse on the Nepal–Tibet border tragically sent a massive surge of water and debris downriver destroying 25 villages in minutes. Families were shattered, many lives lost, children orphaned and thousands of villagers made homeless without the basic essentials needed to survive.

Your WCS Committee has committed $1,000 in direct support as limited by our budget. As with Polio Plus and our students in Mexico, we ask that members, friends, families, and others join us in helping with this exceedingly needy cause.
Nepal is an isolated and very poor country with hardworking people. Our dollars may be small, but we will show our Rotary’s and our Community's support and dedication by our Club‑to‑Club donation to the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel. That Club is thoroughly vetted by your WCS Committee as a trusted recipient directly involved in relief efforts in the rural villages.
How to Contribute:
Checks: Payable to Lincoln Rotary Club Foundation (or LRC Foundation) — memo Nepal Aid 2026 and bring to our 5:30 evening September 10th meeting or noon September 17th meeting, 499 E Street Woman’s Club. If unable, mail to LRC Foundation, P.O. Box 663, Lincoln, CA 95648 before September 17th or contact a Rotarian for pickup.
Cash: Bring to our 5:30 evening meeting on September 10 (preferred) or latest to the noon meeting on September 17th at 499 E Street, Lincoln. Memo attached with Nepal Aid 2026 and your name, address and phone number. Do not mail cash. If you cannot bring to a meeting, email darrellscott9020@gmail.com your name, a time, your telephone number, and a place for the donation to be picked up by a Rotarian.
