"Biomed" at Lincoln High School

I will be presenting on the LHS Biomedical Sciences Pathway program. This pathway incorporates the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences Curriculum where students are taking on real-world, healthcare challenges and they’re doing it before they even graduate from high school. Working with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs, students engage in compelling, hands-on activities and work together to find solutions to problems. Students take from the courses in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they take. Additionally the LHS Biomedical Pathway offers an extra curricular Health Occupations club known as HOSA where students get more exposure to the healthcare professions. Through this association, students have the opportunity to become certified CPR instructors. Coming this school year our student instructors will be working to train fellow students in compression only CPR with the lofty goal of training ALL LHS graduating students by the time they graduate.
