Joann will speak about the trip taken to Chapala/Rotary Club of Ajijic taken by about 12 of our members. 

We hosted two students this year; one from Brazil and one from Belgium.   It has been an exciting year for these two girls. 

Rotarian Joe Ciccolo is the Founder and President of BitAML, one of the first cryptocurrency compliance advisory firms in the United States. Since 2015, he has advised hundreds of digital asset companies, financial institutions, and policymakers on cryptocurrency regulation, anti-money laundering compliance, cybersecurity, and consumer protection. Joe also serves as Executive Director of the California Blockchain Advocacy Coalition, where he has testified before the California Senate and Assembly and has been actively involved in shaping digital asset legislation and regulatory policy in California.

Robert Freeman, of Livermore Valley Rotary Club, is the Founder and Executive Director of The Global Uplift Project (TGUP).  He will talk about how TGUP, NorCal Rotary Clubs, and Rotary Clubs in Uganda are revolutionizing high school Science education in Uganda by providing laboratory equipment for 200,000 Ugandan high school students.

Let's come together for an evening of celebration, laughter, friendship, and karaoke as we recognize Kerry's dedication and service to our club.

Today will be the first meeting of our new President Lindsey Graves.   Come hear about what she plans to do and to share your ideas about what our Rotary Club can do this coming year. 

Get to know your fellow Rotarians.  Three members are expected to speak on their background and why they joined Rotary. 

Karen and Joann will speak about maternal health, one of Rotary's seven areas of focus.  You will learn about our support of maternal health projects with Rotary Club of Ajijic in Mexico. 

Some of our committee chairs will speak on committee activities in support of our clubs activities.

Megan Ellinghouse was District 5180 Governor for the 2025-2026 year..   For the current year, she is the District Membership Chair.  She will describe the district/RI support for increasing our membership. Ideas on how we can increase our membership will be discussed.  

Tom Indriere is CEO of the Lincoln Chamber. He will update us on what is happening at the Lincoln Chamber and why it is a benefit to our local businesses and organizations. 

Scott Leaman, our former school district superintendent and lead for Project Cornerstone, will be presenting what Project Cornerstone is all about and how you can help teach some younger children to read. 

He served in Western Placer Unified School District from 1993 to 2021, including 16 years as superintendent. He later served two years as Superintendent/Principal in Alta School District and currently provides charter school oversight for Twin Rivers Unified School District. His career also included teaching, school administration, and two years in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone. He has two children and splits his time between Northern and Southern California as his wife is finishing her last year as a fourth grade teacher.

In addition to our speaker, we will break out into individual club committees.

• What else can we do
• Encourage members to be involved

Even if you are a guest, this is an opportunity to learn about the good things happening in Lincoln Rotary and how becoming a Rotarian might change your life. 

 In this presentation, Leaman Elementary Principal Cinnamon Johnsrud and Librarian Kara Duff will explore how relationships, access to engaging books, and meaningful reading experiences can help children develop confidence and a genuine love of reading. They will share perspectives from both the school and library, discuss some of the opportunities and challenges surrounding literacy education today, and highlight how schools, families, and community partners can work together to help every child see themselves as a reader.

Past President Kerry, also superintendent of the district, will give us an update on what is happening at WPUSD.

Evening Social Meeting!

Rotary District Governor Dave Veden will be our featured speaker at our final September club
meeting on Thursday, September 24. We will use a special meeting format that day:

• 12:30–1:00 PM: District Governor Dave Veden will speak about
District 5180 priorities, club goals, and the year ahead.
• 1:00–1:30 PM: We will transition into our committee breakout sessions.

Dave will also join our September Board meeting via Zoom, giving us an
opportunity to connect with him, share updates about our club, and
discuss our goals for the year.
