In this presentation, Leaman Elementary Principal Cinnamon Johnsrud and Librarian Kara Duff will explore how relationships, access to engaging books, and meaningful reading experiences can help children develop confidence and a genuine love of reading. They will share perspectives from both the school and library, discuss some of the opportunities and challenges surrounding literacy education today, and highlight how schools, families, and community partners can work together to help every child see themselves as a reader. |

Ashley Sandor joined Lincoln High as an Assistant Principal at LHS in 2024 after serving as an Assistant Principal at Placer High School, and previously held administrative roles at Buljan and Chilton Middle Schools in Roseville. Prior to becoming an administrator, she taught high school English, including AP Language and AP Literature, and served as a softball coach, Link Crew Coordinator, Assistant Athletic Director, and Intervention Coordinator.
She is proud to serve the Lincoln community and remains committed to strengthening a school culture centered on relationships, collaboration, high expectations, and ensuring that every student at Lincoln High School has an opportunity for connection and success.
