Assistance League® of Greater Placer is one of the more than 120 chapters of Assistance League, a national nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action. In the fiscal year ending May 31, 2022, our chapter had 192 dedicated members who volunteered 40,116 service hours and touched the lives of more than 8,000 people in Placer County & adjoining communities through our philanthropic programs.

Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters

In 2016, Ryan was unanimously appointed by the Placer County Board of Supervisors to the position of Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters. He currently serves as Vice President for the California Association of Clerks and Elections Officials. He also serves as co-chair of the Association’s legislation committee. In addition, he has been active on the legislation committee for the County Recorder’s Association of California and many subcommittees for both organizations. |

 It is time to celebrate the holidays so mark your calendars for Thursday December 29th.
We will gather at Turkey Creek for our annual social with dinner and entertainment. This is a chance for us to visit with spouses, guests and friends. and a perfect time for all the new members to introduce yourselves and your spouses/guests to our "rotary family".
We will have a social from 5:30 -6:30 and there will be a cash bar. The dinner buffet will be ready at 6:30 and we will be enjoying a wonderful dinner followed by dessert. The cost is $30.00 a person. I will be taking reservations and payment at our meetings this month. Please make checks payable to Rotary Club of Lincoln.

Human Trafficking

Devan Portillo will present on human trafficking issues on April 6. Devan Portillo is a Deputy District Attorney with the Placer County District Attorney’s Office. Devan has been a prosecutor for 10 years and has handled a wide-variety of cases. Devan is currently assigned to handle crimes involving major narcotics and human trafficking, including pimping and pandering cases.

Gabriel Cruz is the Interim Director of Operations for AMR in for the Sacramento Sierra Region, Mr Cruz will lead a discussion about the Sierra-Sacramento Valley EMS Authority, a joint powers agency, which oversees all emergency medical services in Northern California, from Sacramento to the Oregon boarder. Mr. Cruz will also discuss AMR ambulance and EMS services in south Placer County and the City of Lincoln. |
